Tasker, Joseph Louis
traveller, born 1824, only son of Joseph Tasker, Esq., of Middleton Hall, Essex, was educated at Downside, and became a promising oriental linguist and explorer. After an absence of five years from England, he died at Shiraz, in Persia, Aug. 27, 1848, aged 24.
